Need Peace of Mind (Advice) on Used E55 Purchase

I am new to the board and would appreciate this forum's advice. I am considering a used 2004 or 2005 E55 purchase from a variety of private owners and "reputable" dealers in the Dallas area.
My question: Is an E55 with approximately 30-40k miles (assuming the usual used car risks understood) expected to be reliable for another 20-30K miles? I am asking since this is a high performance engine and "may" be subject to faster depreciation/breakdown risk.
Your thoughts?

Try MBWorld.org if you haven't already. A MUCH more active E55 forum over there and you'll surely have your questions answered.

I am not an E55 owner but I think you should look for one with a good warranty. There might be one in place that is transferable from the previous owner, or a dealer might offer an E55 as a CPO (certified pre-owned). The repairs are expensive and I think you can be relatively certain that any AMG has been run hard. Good Luck!

Than if you are lucky you might see one with polished differential like I did.
Go to E section for more exposure.

Ive read on this site, the stock wheels for the 2008 C300 sport are 7.5 and 8.5 width. Does anyone know the offset on those wheels...Im trying to go to a 19" 8.5/9.5 combination. I was told a +50 offset would do the trick, but I want to know what is the original spec?
