Bosch ICON Wiper MADE IN CHINA? - Benzworld.org

can you believe this, i go to pep boys to buy the legendary Bosch wiper for the benz and i look to read on the back to verify that its made in Germany, and instead i see it says MADE IN CHINA, What the hell is happening at Bosch??? i thought they were the top quality guys, usually their wipers were made in Belgium which is bearable, but China is unbelieveable, hopefully Mercedes too doesnt follow what Bosch is doing, soon all the parts Bosch makes for our benzes will be chinese made, and if it aint made it Germany it aint got quality, Franz Fehrenbach the chairman, should just shoot himself for degrading the quality image that Robert Bosch created for this legendary company

China actually took over rubber market in US. Try to find trailer tires not made in China here. Even Good Year is made in China. With excellent referrals.

That's odd; I just bought some and they were made in Belgium.

I won't buy tyres made in China.. Michelin, Bridgestone, ie the high end/better tyres out there are still made in countries known for solid manufacturing processes.

Don't say the "M" word on RV forum.
Michelins RV tires have the highest blow up ratio in last few years.
Blow up in RV usually means $5,000 in repairs.
Only those who had Michelins blowig up in their garage can consider themself lucky.

you are correct. if it is made in Germany by TURKISH immigrants then it DOESNT have quality. even if it may say made in Germany, u might as well change it to made in turkey. what a shame

Many parts are made in China now for both Bosch and Benz, but the big laugh is that most chinese Benz customers will not use the made in china parts. Even if their Benz is built in China, they want to re-badge it. If they cant trust the quality of Made in China, then who the hell can?

Now comes the biggest joke of all, here in china, there are many fake parts that say made in Germany Original Qualitat?
