Cold starting on my both 1988 300TE

Hi all,

Just wondering if anyone can help me with cold starting of my both cars.
I have taken cold start valve and soaked in break cleaner and cumbustion chamger cleaner overnight and phisically scrapped off any deposits around the nozzel. I inserted the narrowest niddle I could find and gently clenaed the injection holes (the niddles did not go in too far as the whole is smaller then my pin).

The symptoms: Outside temp is -10 celcious(approx 20F) Car 1 takes 5 or six cranking attemps before reluctantly starting. Each crank attempt is about 3 to 4 seconds. Once it starts it will run rough for about a minute. After this revs like a charm and drive perfect all day.

My theory: I think Cold start injector is fine but I think there are two electrical component that work directly with CVI. I need to change or clean. One is temeprature switch and the other is a double relay.

Question: 1-Where is the double relay and temp switch in the engine? 2-Are there any other component in the car that control cold starting?

New parts on my primary car: New feul filter and pump, new ignition wires, 1 yr old dist cap and rotor, new spark plugs, always super gas Octane 91

My second 300TE is even worse. It takes quick start spray directly sprayed into the throtle valve plus 2 or 3 long cranks to start. Once started runs smooth like silk.

Any thought s would be appreciated
