IMHO I would go with the SL55. I think the 6 series is pointless unless you go with the M6. JMO.

The SL can still be very formal; just put the roof up!

I know and agree--again. The CL can be very sporty too, but my point is that, on-the-whole, the SL is more sporty than the CL and the CL is a bit more formal than the SL. It goes back to the distinction between coupés and sedans, convertibles and hardtops...

I would go with an SL55 but then you could only fit 1 other person in the car.

Ugh! my last boyfriend (still friends) had a new 6 series BMW and it was the ugliest thing he ever owned! It looks like a pregnant roach from the back end. He had the car for 5 months and all these little annoying issues. He just got rid of it. BTW I wasn't impressed with how the car handled. I prefer the M5 handling to it any day! HE had the M5 a few years ago. I LOVE the new 2008 CL63 AMG!! One of my clients just got his last week and the car is a dream! He let me drive it and oh my I was in lust and love with the car! It is smoking hot!!

Yep the infamous Chris Bangle design! Just horrible! However I understand they are re-designing the 5 series. They already re-designed the 3 series 2008 and it is a really nice car especially the coupe or hard top convertible

This was a easy pick! The SL of course! Cab & Coupé, all in one - a roadster!

I hate to say this but i fell in love with the Chris Bangle Design especially in the 7 and 6 series vehicles. sad to say i wrapped my moms 04' 760il around a telephone pole. but i still love the design i think thats why i chose the E class because its different in design to other vehicles, which is why i love the CLS so much.
