How about the definition of "MOST" ?
That is an acronym I often see here in the forum, yet searching for it is useless since the word "most" is often used.

If drinking and driving is illegal, then why do bars have parking lots?

The MOST system is used primarily by BMW and requires the us of the OPS system to re-programme control units.

MOST uses the fibre optic system fitted to the car's telephone/cd player and command centre. This is fairly new tech and is as slow as hell.

Post MOST

What is MOST?
• The MOST acronym is derived from the words:
“Media Oriented System Transport”
• An evolution of the fiber optic ring and electrical wake-up
configuration used in the D2B system
• A communication standard created by DCAG, Becker, and other
corporations (unlike D2B that was exclusive to MB)
• One of the vehicle communication networks:
- connecting the audio system to other vehicle networks
Note: MOST system may also be referred to as NTG 1

The D2B ring is fairly old hat campared with MOST but both have their problems and it's something for the coming years

Ah, “Media Oriented System Transport”
Thanks guys. I knew about what it was, but the actual acronym is what I wanted.
