2008 CLS 550 w/ AMG package

Hi,

I am waiting for my new CLS 550 to arrive at the dealership which should be sometime next week, I am counting days now, its being transferred from Texas where they found the right combination of color, options, etc. The car has an AMG sport package. I know I am getting the 5 spoke wheels, as opposed to 7 spoke (which is a bad decision they made), also getting the shift paddles on the steering wheel, which is cool, the ground effects which makes the car looks more aggressive. Actually, after seeing the car with amg bumpers, I think the regular version looks bad , like it got stripped or something.

But here is my question. I just heard that the car will not have the actual AMG badge in the back, is this true? Why?

Because it's not a real AMG.

The car has all of the trim goodies of the AMG. But it does not have the AMG drivetrain.

Or the transmission, or the brakes, or the ECU, or the steering, or the suspension, or the exhaust system, etc. You know what I mean though.
