Merc e220 problem

I have a mercedes E220 (Elegance) new shape 2002 model
Ever since I have bought it I have had problems with it – major being
Catalytic converters replaced , new exhaust , and now problem with brake system .
Estimate for the brake need repairs is over 1500 .
Is it a known problem - for MERC E220 (2002 models)

I’m thinking shall I service the brake or shall I buy another Mercedes E220 (after 2004)
Or should I go for E270 (after 2004 model)
Advise most appreciated ….

Sounds like an E220CDI? Is it 1500 pounds, Euros or something else? How much is it driven?

I'm not aware of these exhaust issues, any of it fixed on car warranty?

If it has been driven enough and needs brake service around the car, new discs etc, 1500 € might not be really much at a dealer. I assume it includes some SBC related work, the pump perhaps?

Did your dealer have all the SBC related service done when the car was new?

2004 would still be an SBC brake car, if you are afraid of that.

no sbc done by previous owner - should I get rid of this car as every month there is a fault ... for an exchange of E220 Elegance or E270 model (registeres after 2004) ....
I dont want to face similar problems of brake, cats , exhaust staraight away ....
Which is more reliable E220 or E270??
