You mean gasoline accidentally filled on a diesel? Did you drive, how much.

about 7 gallons while on reserve. its a mistake by the new gas station attendant. after i towed the car back to the shop told him what the repairs may be, about 3 to 6 hrs of labor plus parts..well the old man just about passed out. needless to say he didnt show to work today and... dont think he will ever..lol. will have to take a closer look tomorrow. btw its a 87 300 sdl turbo. for what i can see the tank is behind the rear seat? there is a line that runs adjacent to the break lines to a clear filter before the injection pumps..? im gonna drain the tank and try to air preasurise it to blow all the fuel out and same up to the pump. replace filter and maybe loosen lines to cylinders to drain excess fuel..? refill and use additives to clean up . any ideas? thanks.

You say you towed it back, do you mean you did not drive, not even start the car after the incident?

If you did not drive, it might be enough to just drain the tank and fill it with diesel. But the fuel filter change and fuel line drain would make it even better. After all, this engine would accept some gas mixed with diesel.

7 gallons on reserve would make it 1:1, what is too much. As mentioned some gas in diesel is not harmful and old remedy for cold weather was adding a gallon, or 2 for tank to avoid gelling.
I am pretty confident that filling it up with diesel and driving would not do any damage, but to be on safe side it is definitely better to drain the tank and lanes before restarting. You have fuel lanes on the firewall, so with MityVac you could simply suck it out.
But. Don't exaggerate it. You really don't need to open the tank and sponge it.
