Smile CB-26P from www.cleanburn.co.uk

I have been looking at the CB-26P from Ecotek Technologies.

Has anyone tried one on a merc. I have a C180 Esprit and I am trying to squeeze out the best mpg I can get from it.

heres a quote from their website on what it is intended to do.

"On modern cars the CB-26P device works in at least two distinct ways to improve performance, it collapses the manifold vacuum allowing briefly for a richer mixture on the re-application of a trailing throttle - thus significantly improving throttle response - and it creates an element of off-throttle turbulence (increasingly being used by Mercedes Benz and Ford in their performance engines - see: Mercedes 'tumble flaps' here: Mercedes-Benz Canada and Ford see para 8: Ford Motor Company - Press Release - FORD MONDEO: ENHANCED DRIVING QUALITY ) making acceleration smoother and more urgent."

Call me a sucker, but I've bought one to try.

After driving 2000 miles with the device fitted I have seen up to 10% improvement! typically 7 to 10%. cool. it is a bit noisy on overrun but nothing to worry about.
