Post replacing Nokia car kit in C calss with bluetooth?

Hi,

I have a C200k (W203, 2003) with the Nokia 6310i car kit installed. Is it possible to replace this with a blue tooth receiver that will work with the Sony 600i and O2 JASJAM?. If so what do I need to buy and will it also be intefgrated with the display and steering wheel controls.

Also is it possible to use the phone to play MP3 tracks through the speakers?

Thanks

Ken

You seem to come from Europe, this would be useful to know, you could fill up your data to more details. If your car is a European model, you would not have an MB OEM choice for BT but there is an after market device, called ViseeO:
Comand Online Ltd

I believe it comes from Down Under, the cars there are equal to European MBs (in this respect at least), if you are from there, you may have another supplier.

Another option would be to upgrade to MB OEM UHI but I don't see a point for that unless you had phones that dock to an MB cradle and specifically would want to have that (the phones you mention would not have the cradle option).

No MP3 music through BT, but if you have an AUX connector, you could play music from the phone if the phone has a matching cable.

If you have a Nokia CARK-91 car kit, likely you can change to a CK-1K or CK-7W car kit and keep the mic and speaker. The 12V, switched 12V, GND and Mute wiring harness should plug right in the new box.

If you already has a CK-1W or CK-7W installed, it should work with Sony/Ericsson BT phones.

I have both the Sony/Ericsson HCB-31 and Nokia CK-1W installed in two of my cars and use them for both Nokia and Sony/Ericsson phones.

I understood he had the MB OEM Nokia 6310i car kit instead of a Nokia after market kit but now that I read the post again, I'm not completely sure, could be either way. With your reply, both options should now be covered.
