Oh yes, a good point, both self levelling and headlamp washers are mandatory in most of Europe for Xenon lights. I understand this is why MBs come with headlamp washers in the US too.

thanks for all the advice! one more question?!

i have called a couple dealerships in southern california to install the xenon headlights and they will not install them..even if they are MB OEM parts?! does anyone know about a dealership in southern california that will do the install!?

Why would you buy this car without everything that you want on it? Trying to save $500 from the factory turns into spending $2000 real fast! Trade the car for what you want.

You might also want to ask yourself why a dealer refuses to install them... There's probably a good reason. You can probably find somebody to install anything, but that doesn't mean you should.
