Question Please help... no navigation on 2000 ml320

Hi, I am not only new to the forum, but new to mercedes
I just purchased my first mercedes, a 2000 ML320 black/black

I have a question, the previous owner told me that she never used the navigation and that she cant find the navigation cd either.

when I press the NAV button on the mcs, nothing happens, it doesnt say or tell me to do anything. when I open it and the screen drops down, there is only a cassette slot. there is a cd changer in the back of the truck.

I called mercedes near me and was told that if there is only a cassette slot then I DO NOT HAVE NAVIGATION!!!. the guy was pretty rude and didnt give me a chance to ask anything and hung up. so I turn to you guys. is there any hope for me? is there a way I can still have navigation without purchasing a new mcs? anything will help. I dont know as much as you guys do about mercedes.

thanks for your time............Sean

You can just buy the drive on Ebay and put it in yourself. It's quite easy. I suggest the DVD drive rather than CD.
