am i getting ripped off?!

I bought a 2005 ML 350. At the time of purchase I was not too sure that I needed a navigation system, sirius or a blue tooth phone. I got a shock when I checked with my dealer on a routine service about these options.

The Dealer is asking $ 2000 for the navigation system, $1350 for sirius and $3200 for bluetooth hands free phone. A total of $6550!!!! Incidentally I have all these features on my dodge at 1/10th of a price. Any suggestions as to where I could get these without getting ripped off!!

Surely someone is just putting the decimal point in the wrong place.

You will get some good suggestions on both MB & aftermarket products at lower cost but it is a reminder that it costs a whole lot more to add stuff after the vehicle is built, regardless of make.

'94 C220 with 93k totalled 10/06 by hit & run broadsiding monster truck: not a scratch or bruise for me

Ouch! Those prices are nonsense if you're in USA/CANADA. Find an honest Dealer.

Are you talking about adding these to your current vehicle? If so, then that is what they cost. It costs 10x more to fit them at the dealer after the fact rather then buy them from the factory. You should have gotten them from the factory! Or just buy a hand held GPS unit and install satellite radio yourself. Much, much cheaper.

I don't buy those prices at all. I work as a tech at a dealer, and there isn't a reason for that at all. On a W163, almost everything comes prewired. All you need is a Navigation module, a splitter, and a new antenna for navi. If your phone already had a phone at one point (old style), then its just a module. If it didn't then, yeah, it would be a fortune to have all the wiring done as well as MOST (fiber obtics) modules and programming. Sirius is pretty much the same.

So I would try another dealer for a quote. That is a little outragous. Those are more like prices for a W164/X164 (new ML/GL).
