Who to contact for lemon benz?

Hello,

I bought my new GL450 this January and it has been nightmare of owning this car. I took my truck in for service for third time(srs) and dealer can not tell me what is wrong with the car. Service manager at HBL mercedes is very hard to deal with and I was wondering if anyone here knows who to contact at benz. car only has 12k miles.

Thanks

You might want to take your car to another Mercedes dealer and have them look at your car and hopefully have a solution to your problems.

The normal protocol is to ask that a Mercedes dealer contact the regional MB rep. I agree that if you are having trouble with HBL, take your car to another franchise and start over.

If all else fails i would first try another dealership then contact someone from MBUSA and file a complaint. They should respond to you to resolve the issues you are having.

Does your State have a Lemon-Law?
If you don't know contact your State Attorney General.
It's really quite easy to find out from them.
Nothing at all complicated.

If you suspect you have a Lemon, there are very specific things you need to do and document.
Hit these guys ( MB ) HARD.
Be tenacious.

Also; MB has a Citizens Review Board composed of Volunteers.
Check your Owners Manual
It's there. It's in mine but i'm at work now.

GOOD LUCK!

Thanks guys.

I'll check my owners manual. I go to them because this dealer is only 5miles from me and i have been using them for last 10 years.

What do you guys think about this case.

I take my car in for service and take it straight to manager and he sees srs light is on and reads screen on dash reads "side curtin airbag malfunction". Day later manager calls me and said they can not find any codes and srs light is off but can't tell me what caused it to go off. Since it is off, manager is not willing to document the car came into service with srs light.

If benz dealer can't tell me what is wrong with my car than who can i trust? BTW, this same thing happened twice with them.

You may have a good lemon law case, depending on your state

Start keeping a diary of ALL conversations beginning NOW, and copies of ALLL service orders, get a DIFFERENT one EACH time, to avoid ONE being opened and kept open, the dealers do it to avoid Lemon Law Liability.

You are already building a LemonLaw case here. Do it carefully.

After about 3-5 DIFFERERNT visits (verified by 3-5 DIFFERENT ROs, with different dates and mileage for the SAME problem, you may proabaly have a good Lemon Law case.Ask for ALL your money back, lessmiles driven NOT another Mercedes to replac it. Then you are back where you started. Better.

If you cannot get resolution through your dealer (or another), especially by taking things to the District Rep and MBUSA, Mercedes Benz of Florida and cascade are exactly right.

What you don't have to do is accept shoddy service or a lemon.
