Alloys, style 5 amg

Hi too everyone. Newish member here. Has anyone suffered poor finishing or corrosion problems with the turbine type alloys with polished faces, mainly fitted to amg models. ie slk & sl. Just that I have an issue with MB regarding this. It also seems repairs to these wheels is so expensive that new is the better option.

If you mean the AMG monoblocks, I have those on my slk. The seem to hold up well. The PO did not know how to park next to a curb, so the rims have a some rash.

alloys (16 blades) polished

Hi michael, thanks for the reply. Nothing to do with kerbing. The symptoms are greying beneath the polished surface on the rim &the faces on the spokes. Also less than perfect finish where paint terminates at the leading edges on the spokes, causing corrosion to establish at these points in the form of blistering. Coincidently my local MB dealer wishes to see me tomorrow. Fingers crossed.
