Exclamation soon as my warranty ends...this happens :(

so i have a 2003 C320 and im having a slight issue with it. any feedback is appreciated plz help!

every time i turn on the engine i get this loud clicking/popping noise that sounds approx every 8 sec for about 1 min. the sound comes from directly underneath the steering wheel or to the left of it i took out the side panel of the dashboard to take a peak but i couldnt see anything wrong. i also took a look under the hood but theres no sound coming from there. sometimes even after i turn off my engine i get the same minute of clicking/popping noises so i think it might have something to do with the fans maybe. i dunno. as a side note , im not sure if this has any relevance, my ac is extremely colder than usual since ive had this problem.

anybody ever have this problem or have some advice for me. would be much appreciated. TY!

Could it be one of the AC servo motors?

does it happen with the blower off? if it only happens with the blower/air on its the center or footwell flap actuators for the air diverter. thats the most common thing on that car that pops and clicks.

It is the left side footwell flap actuator linkage. The motors very rarely fail, but up until 2003, the linkage piece was thin and would break. There is an updated piece that replaces the older style.....thicker and will not break as the original did.
