W123 300TD Wagon Featured in 'Dan in Real Life'!

I was watching TV the other day and the advert for Steve Carell's new romantic comedy 'Dan in Real Life' came on. I wasn't really paying much attention until at the very end of the trailer when Carell was shown sitting in a red station wagon with some VERY familiar looking concave head rests... I did a double take and thought 'Is he sitting in a Benz?!?'
I tried to move closer to the tv, but the trailer ended, and I was intrigued. So I went and watched the trailer again online, and sure enough... Steve Carell's character does indeed drive a gorgeous Signal Red 300TD wagon with Palamino MBTex interior in the movie! A good guy driving a Mercedes? This is a rare thing, indeed!
The trailer only shows close ups of Carell driving and one shot of Carell with the car in the background in which upon close scrutinization, one can just make out the 300TD emblem on the hatch. It's appears to be in near mint condition... I want it very badly!
Just thought I'd mention this!
Warmest regards,

I saw it too. They had a scene where he was pulled over by a cop (yeah right, in a diesel) and a scene where his daughter almost crashes while learning to drive. I hope the writers did not do something stupid like have his daughter smash the thing in the end.

Saw the movie last night -- highly, highly recommended. The car is featured prominently throughout the film, but it isn't in 'near-mint condition' by a long shot.

We just returned from watching the movie, GREAT MOVIE! The 300TD is prominently featured, it is, well, a daily driver, missing the hood ornament, the inside door trim on the driver's side is all beat up but the great thing is that they used the correct inline 5 turbocharged diesel engine sound for it when starting idling and pulling away...
