JMHO, but regardless of the oil in the sump I would never wait more than a year or more than 5,000 miles for the initial oil change on a car.
If I'd purchased the car under those conditions the very first thing I'd have done - after calling my insurance agent to add it to my policy - would have been to change the oil and filter.
After that initial oil change I'd follow the one year rule unless the FSS told me to change it sooner.
