Need info on Winter wheels for C320 Coupe

Hi everyone,
I am looking to get new winter wheels (rims and tires) on my '04 C320 Coupe. I found some nice used wheels that were used on an E320 that measure 215/55 R16. Will this fit properly on my C320? or should I stick to the recommended 205/55-16.

Also any additional help on what I should look to get will be great. Thank you.

Hi, Lagonis, and welcome to the forum. Please take a moment and complete your online profile re: vehicle and location.

While the bolt pattern and offset for the wheels is okay, the tires are indeed too large for the C class.

For future reference, there is a specific forum for your car if you scroll down; it's the W203 forum. And in the Technical forums there is also a forum for specific tire and wheel questions. Posting in the general forum with questions that are specific to your car may not get you the best advice available.

Take care and enjoy the ride,
Greg

When it comes to winter tires you don't want to go wider. Either stick to the same width, or even go -1 and get something a little narrower. Wider tires are less likely to cut through the snow and more likely to float on top of the snow, just like a set of snowshoes.

jlomon, is right on the tire size you def want to go to like a 195/55/16, or 195/60/16
both should fit fine on 205 rims. plus if your looking for good snow tires get bridgestone
blizzacks. we recomend them for all rear wheel drive cars. little pricey but worth the cost.

+1 on the Blizzaks, great winter tire, even more noticeable if you live in a place with icy/sleety winters as opposed to just snowy.
