Did mine TODAY!
Really easy diy.
Don't go at it from the outside!
Open the trunk lid.
You will see several fasteners, gently pull out the center section of each until the fastener releases.
Then lower the trunk liner.
Then reach in with a flat head screw driver and pop out the bulb(s).
Now the hard part, take the dead one to a MB dealer and pay them the $12 US for the 3 new bulbs.
Yes I said three, one to replace the burned out one, one to replace the other one that WILL soon burn out, and one to go in a small bag of spare bulbs in your spare tire compartment, for when the nextone burns out.
Replace the bulbs and make sure that both 'Pointed ends' of each go into the small holes in each tab of the socket.
Gently put he liner back in place, and re insert each of the fasteners and pop down the center section of each.
Thats what I did today because I wont pay MB $300 US to replace light bulbs.
Also, search here for pictures.
OR could somebody with a GOOD camera do a series of pictures of this procedure for all to use????
