2008 C300 Bluetooth and LG 5300 mobile

The connectivity worked and it recognized the LG 5300 mobile but it will not read or transfer the phone book (vcard?). I'm not super-tech but reasonably tech enabled. Any work around known? Or, am I just doing it wrong? I'm not getting it from the user manual.

Also, how do you manually create a phone book - name and number? Any input would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I don't know how to manually create a phone book, but I can tell you that some phones simply will not download the address book and call data to an MB system. I have a Nokia N75 smartphone / PDA that will connect, make calls, etc., but will not download any other information. I have an old Motorola Razr that I tried just to see what would happen - downloaded everything! It just depends on the phone.

Go to http://www.mbusa-mobile.com/ for a list of phones that will operate with an MB system.

Does the W204 have a local address book at the COMAND like in the W221 (and some other likely)? You could then at least use a different phone, or laptop, just to download your phone book to the car to be available for your LG phone.

Thanks for the input.

I did find out from my salesman that some phones will not have capability to upload the phone book or vis versa. btw, there is no way to manually input or create a phone book.

I think motorla and mb have some sort of deal since BK had some luck uploading.

I'm not very good with the electronics but will soon bring it in to the dealer for the first k miles check and hope to talk to some of there techies.
