CD changer

I have a 6 disc CD changer in my 2000 E320. Last weekend, I noticed a "No Magazine" Message when I tried to change radio to CD. Now, I can't even eject the magazin from it's csing.

Does anyone know what the cause of this may be? is this serious? will it cost many $$$$ to fix.

Would appreciate your feedback.

  1. Slide the changer door to the right.
  2. Press the eject button, and then tap the magazine with your finger.
If it doesn't come out the first time, repeat step 2. It's worked for a number of people.

I have a 2001 E430 and have had similar problems. I had to unhook the CD changer from the trunk and play with the wires. Dont push too hard on the eject button on the disc changer . just need to barely touch it. good luck. Cost of new Cd changer is over $600 .

Sometimes one of the CD sticks inside the CD player. The arm is extended and will not retract into the CD 6-pack. When this happens I take a pair of needle nose plyers and give the CD holder a gentle wiggle. The eject button will then eject the 6-pack. I usually remove it and reset all the CD in the 6-pack before putting it back in.
