Looking for a good service shop in NJ

I need a good, honest shop (if such a thing exists) for B service for my R350 in New Jersey. Any suggestions?

Thumbs up

European Motors, they're in Wayne.

Auto, tune-ups, engine, repairs, oil changes - Wayne, NJ

The most honest and knowledgeable tech I have ever had the pleasure of dealing with. The guy is a HUGE car enthusiast, and owns a few Benzos himself, when you pull in there are Benzos everywhere, just recently got a tune up and also my fuel pump replaced, the price and service are unmatched.

Chinny is your place close to the fashion center mall? Now I'm curious, and I'm gonna go find this place just for the heck of it.

Right across from Lord and Taylors, yes.

Their lot is full of 123s, 124s, 126s, 107s...

They came highly recommended from a very very close family friends...but sometimes their judgment can be a bit shady....(long story).

Despite that though, we are pretty happy with Bells and they're supposedly the best in the Bergen area.

I heard good things about Frank from Bells.

I go to Cosenza motors. paterson, n.j.
just across the maple ave bridge, on the corner of 3rd ave and e. 25th st.
honest to a fault.
. I've given him the mechanical restoration/maintenance of the 4 M-B's I've got.
iif it's too expensive... he'll tell ya!

he not cheap, but you don't have to come back to fix what's been fixed.
ya know?
try em both!!

Thanks, guys. This is really useful info. My only concern with indy shops is the warranty - my R350 is still under warranty and I am not sure that if something goes wrong then MB may try to lay the blame on the shop. On the other hand, I am tired of dealing with rip-off names (Ray Catena, Princeton MB). They quoted me $400+ for B service which is really an oil change + 1 hour of diagnostics (yeas, yeah I know that the equipment costs xxx$$$, etc and all that, but in reality I found their techs to be sub-par).

I found another one while googling:

New Jersey Mercedes Benz Mechanic Service Repair

The site claims that the owner used to work for MB in Germany before he came here. I spoke to him and he did have a German accent and sounded knowledgeable. Will plan a visit.

AVOID EUROPEAN MOTORS IN RT23 POMPTON PLAINS NJ AT ALL COST

avoid european motors on rt23 in pompton plains at all cost they have no clue what there doing most of their cars in front have been there for years broken down salvage rebuilds , the owner has no communication skills ,they never answer the phone , extremely unprofessional and simple jobs take forever to complete even if they are completed at all , avoid them at all cost do not get involved with them , you get what you pay for and they are def the bottom of the barrel you will pay twice to get the job corrected somewhere else ,none of the techs are certified mechanics just general handly man type that have no idea what their doing at all , i wouldn't let them work on a bicycle never the less a mercedes benz .
