Question MB USA Guru of Gagetry?

Can anyone point me to the right people at MB USA that are knowledgable about Bluetooth?

When I bought "Da Benz" back in December '06, I had a Motorola MPx220 cell phone and the BT worked perfectly. The MPx220 died last week and now I'm sporting a MotoRAZR 2 v.9
The new phone has been successfully authorized into the COMAND system but when I try making calls the Screen shows a message saying that "The Telephone Is Off".

Does MB offer firmware/software updates to it's customers? (This is my first Benz)

Thank you.

Why not call AWS:
Welcome to AWS for Mercedes-Benz

Do you mean the new phone was authorized with Comand instead of the BT puck, or both?

Both, I guess...
I followed the routine outlined in the Owners Manual.
I entered the same PW in the COMAND screen & the phone.
The screen acknowledged the link & authorization & even the phone's name & the phone acknowledged the car.

However when you try activating the phone, the COMAND system returns the message, "The Telephone is Off"...hence my inquiry

I don't have a puck(?) per-se.
I have a long remote control sized gizmo with blue LEDs plugged into the center console.
Is this what you refer to as a "puck"?

Is this on the 2007 S550? I thought the the BT puck or a combined BT puck/cradle for Razr were the options, not really familiar with the US stuff though. One you can detach from the MHI connector. It is of the size of a small TV remote.

This is what is in the center console...

My old phone stayed in my pocket. I didn't have texting or access to the cell's address book but the hands free function was great.
At this point, all I'm looking for is handsfree function because in PhiLTHadelphia they write citations for cell phone use while driving.
The new phone is a MotoRAZR2 v.9 not a v.3
I suspect the phone is too new for the current BT options out there.

A list of compatible US phones for this cradle (could check the part number) here:
http://www.theworkshopmb.com/TheWork...thorCradle.pdf

I don't understand what Motorola is doing if a later SW version or a later product would not work at least as well as an earlier one.

Hook up with Jonathan [jhodg5ck] down on the W126 forum. He is a ninja at all this bluetooth stuff and, while his shop mainly deals with older benz, he will know, or be able to point out the source.

Thanks for the 411.
Motorola and MB USA have both shrugged me off by referring me to the other.

Wink ALL YOU NEED 2 KNOW IS HERE

Hey Philli;
Go 2 the AUDIO TELEMATICS forum.
You will find people who know more than motorolla or MB.
Also, you will find parts at a fraction of the dealer cost.
