ABS Light On - Gear Change Nil

Please help somebody please!!
My 180C automatic runs like a dream. The ABS light suddenly came on permanently and the Gears would not change from one and the revving remains high!! After reading this forum - I have just changed the battery. Now after stopping - As I start the car the ABS is off but as I drive and rev the ABS comes back on and the problem is repeated as before11 wHAT CAN i DO NEXT Please! My girlfriend is going mad at me!! She wants me to sell the car!! I told her my friends on the forum will help us!!
