Mechanic in SGV, SoCal area, help

Hi all,
this is my first post, I am so glad that I found this forum because my car is a mystery to me, and so far this forum has shed some light on it.

I am looking for a good mechanic in San Gabriel Valley area, Los Angeles. I've been to Rusnak and also to Penske, don't like either of them. So if anyone knows of a good independent mechanic/shop in SGV, I'd appreciate the lead.

Currently my car wont' start, might be the battery.

thanks.

Frankly, any shop so good in LA that it has customers from Texas Idaho and Northern California must be doing something right: fair rates, charged only for repairs actually done, and reluctant to foist un needed repairs on you, and EXCLUSIVELY Mercedes Benz.

In fact I am planning a trip from near Reno down there for the exclusive purpose of having him work on my car.

Perfect for cars out of warranty or older. But he is very busy, and most popular.

Tell him you were referred by some people on the internet Mercedes Shop like Alon or Ernesto (user name Benz-Lgb) as indicated below:

MR MB Motors Tarzana, CA - ShopForum

And report back if you decide to go there. It is not too far away from you.

Don't forget also as a FREE service, lifetime for ANY Benz owner, you have Mercedes Roadsist assist, it devolves to any owner, for any car no matter hows old.

Dial

1-800FORMERCEDES for a jump start, tire change or couple gallons of gvas or a tow to a Mercedes dealer.

I even had them bring a new Mercedes battery to the house, which they installed in the rain, for price of battery, no labor charge.

Best recommendation for that service!!

thanks and welcome to the forum - we'll guide you through the tales of mistery and imagination regarding our awesome brand of choice . To start, you will do us a huge favor if you complete your profile - so we'll know what year and type of Benz you're driving.
Regarding the mechanic, an independent AAA approved shop might do you well.
I'd do a search in your area through AAA SoCal. For me, my Benz is old enough to leave it in the trusted hands of a good friend (and his buddies) that happens to know everything about per 1995 Benzes. But.... I'd need to know what your preferences are and of course what kind of money you like to spend ... both Rusnak and Penske are big companies that are not really specialized in MB, I think I would not like them either.

Let us know - I could forward the number of my mechanic to you (although he is in Irvine CA), he might have some leads in the SGV / Pasadena area.

thank you thank you

Thank you for the lead on the service center.
I think I will go to Mr. MB Motors for service and brake replacements, sounds like everyone here approves.
I own 2001 C-240.
Spending wise, well I think Rusnak and Penske charge a bit much for the labor, but then again I do not know what is the "good" rate. Let's just say that I'd save whenever I can, but I'll spend it on necessary repair

thanks again for the lead.
