it's amazing MB can still get away with charging $3000+ extra for things like leather, CD, xenon headlights on $60k+ cars

Gone but not forgotten:
2003 Honda S2000
1999 BMW 540i sport
1995 BMW M3

It is the same with BMWs. Isn't pretty much anything in a BMW an option? Lexus, on the other hand is another story.

- Used as the sling to lift the Space Shuttle main fuel tank to a vertical position
- Was used in Ghost Busters to stop the Sta-puff Marshmalllow man
I believe there is also a study being performed to use MB-TEX in skin grafts for burn victims and to repair the heat shield on future Space Shuttle missions.

Not part of the in-crowd since 1952. It's BRAKES not breaks. You break a bone, use brakes to stop your car. /rant

Hey Designo,

I looked at the BMW site not long ago, but only at the 700-series because I saw a friend driving a pretty new-looking one. At least on those, the only options I remember are the colors.

Maybe you looked at the Individual or the Alpina 7-Series. But on the 760Li, even Comfort Access, Rear Side door airbags, and Active Cruise Control are options. The rear door airbags is what troubles me the most. You'd think the most expensive BMW would have that standard rather than an option. I'm curious about the reasoning behind this.

Since tex holds color, doesn't age & I've never seen it WRINKLE...do we have any plastic surgeons on here??? We have a butload of country singers here in Nashville that would line up for it!

'87 300E: sold after 11years @ 230k & still on the road somewhere in rural Tennessee.

'94 C220 with 93k totalled 10/06 by hit & run broadsiding monster truck: not a scratch or bruise for me

Do you have Dolly Parton's number? I could make millions off of this idea. You, of course, would a get a "fair" share for the idea.

With Dolly's coverage area we could retire!

Tex will last longer than leather. My 10 year old C230 has Tex and it looks new. No harsh lines or fading like leather does. And it is very comfortable. So if you plan to keep this car for more than 10 years, take the Tex.
