Top ways to get help on Benzworld...

This is tongue-in-cheek, but humor is a useful teaching device, right?

Top ??? ways (add your own to these six) to get help on Benzworld:

1. Post a generic question lacking any meaningful details about the issue itself or any details about your car.
Bonus points if you post in a generic (or the incorrect) forum.

2. Include 9 different issues in the same post.
Bonus points if you prepare the post as a long, run-on paragraph.

3. Post the same exact issue in multiple forums.
Bonus points if you also PM certain members with the same issue as in the post.

4. Ask a question seeking opinions, then argue with those who respond.
Bonus points if you don't even own the car you're posting about.

5. Don't use the search function, ever. It's cool to start the 476th thread on the same issue.
Bonus points if you combine this with #3 above.

6. Hijack a useful, meaningful thread with a new and different issue.
Bonus points if you hijack it also for a different model.
Double bonus points if you argue with another member who points out the better course of starting your own thread in the forum where it belongs.

Take care and enjoy the ride,
Greg

How about start with "HEEELLLPP" in the subject lane, than present the problem with no info about car model, no location and no car age/mileage?

Your choices are all dead on. All I have is a variation on your number 4.

Post a problem along with your suspected solution; then ignore any responses with logical alternate suggestions.

Bonus points for ignoring the greatest number of relevant solutions

Perhaps one would get even more answers by explaining how Toyota, ehm... Lexus works and asking for secret codes that would enable the same on any MB (making it equally bad).

If the car needs some fixing at the dealer because DIY is not possible without their computers, one could explain how a Toyota and W123 never fail, and how friendly they are for all the DIY repair.

7. Pull up a dead thread from 2001 to tack your question onto.
Bonus points for trying to give the original poster advice over 6 years later

Sign in as a 'newbie' and ask your question...then either forget where you found Benzworld, or don't bother saying a quick thank you for all the help that members subsequently offer.

Nice, H-TownBenzoboy. Very nice indeed.

And one more:

Post a noob question that's all over the map, perhaps incorporating some of these other points. When perhaps as much as 30 minutes have elapsed without an answer, post a spiteful reply about how no one helped you.
Bonus points if you posted in the wrong forum.
Double bonus points if someone points this out to you and you reply along the lines of "sure, know-it-all, can't even answer my question huh?"
