EC light is on and won't turn off (a/c not cold) FOR 2000E-320 4MATIC
I was playing AROUND WITH THE BUTTONS WHILE THE KEY WAS IN POSITION 2. NO COLD A/C SINCE THEN. HELP!!! I'M HOT!

The light indicates that the compressor is not operating, it can be due to low charge or a defective sensor.

add some A/C booster from autozone right quick and see if that solves the problem...if you don't know wheree the A/C inlet is, have a mechanic show you, it's free. if youe EC doesn't go offf you might have to have a system check to locate the problem. they have to pull your codes too. good luck.

My car is with a mechanic. He says that I may have turned off one of my sensosrs. I'll give an update with the $$damage report later.

the ec light can be on for a couple reasons
1. pressure to low...repair..charge ac
2.pressure sensor if fualty
3.acc control modual needs to be programed to turn off low pressure cut off switch. ask dealer about it. its an update that anyone with a SDS computer
can do
