I am having a strange problem with ( I suspect) the Anti-theft system. I cannot recreate the reason but the car has started and ran for a few years without this ever happening before. Tried to start car, all lights, all usual stuff - turn the key to the "on" position and absolutely nothing. I went through every configuration of disarming ( had never heard the alarm before ) - the alarm went off - something I did shut the alarm off, but still the same - all the lights no power to start. Got the car to start by supplying power directly to the starter from the rear battery ( spoke to MB Customer Service ) they kept referring to "batteries" meaning two - I cannot find another battery other than the one in trunk. Wondering if this happens to this model, how to fix it, can I reset the alarm system??
