---technology really lacking compared to BMW, Porsche WHERES THE F*** HYBRID?? Its about 5 years behind LExus Has One, Porsche Has One.
---for what you pay for , the resell , depreciation curve is terrible . Perhaps used car buyers know of MB's reliability woes of the early 2000's ..
--- the designs no longer excite me like the old w124 , w126 and the offerings from BMW, Porsche really Uped their stylish-nesss. the 5-series is way more stylish than w211 and so is the cayman S.
--- I went to test drive an 03 w211 and the car squeaked and made all sorts of noises with only 37K. I have a w124 with 175K that doesnt make so much noise
I don't blame you for wanting to move onto another brand, blind faith is no reason to buy MB again. Not all people can be MB drivers anyway....
BUT...porsche has a hybrid?
you are cross-shopping an e550 versus a Cayman S? WTF?
depreciation on all luxury brands are horrible now...but you'll learn that soon enough.
Style? BMW takes chances, they are hit and miss on their style, some great, some terrible...MB is more conservative with everything looking pretty good.
You are grabbing the positives against each brand and then comparing them to one model mercedes....hybrid from lexus, electronic doo-dads from BMW, style from porsche...
You need to narrow your focus. You want a sedan? or a coupe? or an SUV? Is MPG the determining factor (maybe you should get a toyota?) or is style and luxury? My SLK 55 has about the same MPG as her Cayman...think about that, 8 cylinder vs 6 cylinder.....
