The BEST M-B mechanic you will find is Willi Schmid, of AutoHaus Schmid in Torrington, CT. The ph. # is 860-496-8442. Willi was trained at M-B in Germany. He is a little eccentric,ie. shop hours are usually from 12 noon until ? but your car will be repaired right, and at a reasonable price. He's the only one I will let work on my 560SL. Good Luck.

Carlos Auto Repair
988 New Britain Ave
West Hartford, CT 06110
(860) 953-5950

He works on many older European cars, Jaguars, Peugeot's and he drive a W140 himself. I've used him for years for jobs that were too big for me to handle. He did the engine transplant for my car as well as the hole that I had in the front engine cover. He also discovered a problematic noise that I had coming from the engine compartment last year. The dealer said "Change the oil it will be fine." Carlos looked at it for 30 seconds "Its your harmonic balancer" Guess who was right?
