Actually yes it does both leak and is loud. However, that bumper to bumper warranty doesn't help when you get rearended. Trust me. And if you take the car to a shop that actually does a quality job as opposed to just "fixes" them, you are going to have to fight the insurance company tooth and nail over the increased cost, or end up spending 500 to 1000 dollars out of your own pocket. No offense to people who do the ART of repairing cars, but I don't like the idea of trying to argue for original MB parts as opposed to aftermarket parts, paint matches, body panel alignments, or having to be without my car for 3 to 6 weeks a year.
That is all assuming the guy that hits you actually stops (a big BIG problem in Atlanta). If I had half the commute, and lived in a city where tailgating, hit and run and general poor driving were not the major problems, I would drive it daily without a second thought. In Atlanta a nice car simply means you won't (probably) hit the guy trying to force his way over in traffic, therefore you are the one that gets cut off.
My opinion would be different if it were a leased car I was going to replace in three years, but I, more than likely, will keep both of these cars for 200,000 miles or more. I also actually own them. They get enough damage from people who have hit them in parking lots and keeping door dings fixed. I think I should buy a DentWizard franchise!!!
