And...You should never make such a proclamation in a public forum. It will get back to your "foremans". You will have to change your attitude to get ahead. I'll bet you could take the training in short segments to make it more manageable and less intimidating. You need the training to make yourself valuable to the service department and to stay even...maybe even get ahead. Good luck.
sorry if you took it like that but you misunderstood. Now I do training all the time online and at school and yes the online sessions are long. the new 204 training online takes almost 8 hours to complete. and the thing is, doing it in sessions doesnt always work. when it comes to the tests, you have to be prepared to take them. if you fail, you have to wait to take them again. now with the hours I work, I really dont feel like spending my one day off a week doing online training. sometimes I have other things to do. now I didnt say that I am so good that I dont need training because thats not true. I need training like every other tech. I have to keep myself updated on new technology that changes on a daily basis. I have to study for ASE exams, etc...
Now just cause I am a benz tech doesnt mean I should have a perfect attitude. I am a human being like everyone else and I have issues and I have problems. Because I am a benx tech doesnt mean I should be "with the best attitude".
for one, I work for a dealer who doesnt care about its techs. I put in over twice as many hours then what I am paid for. warranty pays me labor times that are not within reason. not realistic.
Now I understand this is a public forum, but my main goal here is to help out members. I try to give members the best knowledge I can. I feel my knowledge as a benz tech will be valuable to others. again sorry if you took what I said before the wrong way.
just to give you an idea, here is the outline for the 204 training
