*LOL* Usually, the body is something lightweight (fiberglass), placed over a tubular chassis. Just as in American funny cars, or NASCAR, other than, just enough resemblance to let you recognize the car, it has no parts (including sheet metal) in common with the real model.
Very funny though. I like the thought, but I really hope I'm right about this!
