I would buy another benz in a heartbeat...ok lets narrow it down
some asian cars are nice, but they are just not my cup of tea
bmw 5 series...too sporty,i want a soft luxurious ride...i'm getting old
audi a6...nice beautiful car...same price as a e350 give or take a few grand, but the
benz is more prestigious...quality issues? I dont know
My 97 e320 has 76k miles and the only thing i've changed on it is a rear window regulator and front pads and rotors
I like the new c class,i wonder if they will offer it with a 220 or 270 cdi in the future
40-50 mpg...who needs a hybrid
once you drive a benz you never want to go back

I have a '96 E320 with 83K miles on it. Replaced head gasket at 73K miles, Both spring perches badly rusted and replaced/fixed at 68K miles, needed a water pump at 65K miles, body rust started at 55K miles.... Can someone convince to purchase another MB?

Only Benz's that I buy have long new car or CPO warranties, which doesn't speak highly for expected reliability.

From my experience of 79 years I find MB has a much! better history than almost any US machine! I bought a 1997 Chrysler T&C and had it back to the dealer for service 7 time in the first year. Got rid of it before it totally fell apart. Yes, some cars, even MBs, have their problems and are expensive, just like a wife! Personally I wouldn't have any vehicle in my garage other than a Subaru AND a Mercedes!

New- NO!
Used, yes. Yup, there fine auto's, but IMHO buying new the cost of ownership after depreciation is way to high to justify, even with all the other things I like.
But, I do have to admit, reliability of mercedes leaves something to be desired, glad I do my own maintenance and repairs. I'd never recomend a mercedes to a friend unless they either (a) can afford dealer repair and maintenance costs or (b) enjoy and are capable of doing all mantenance, including major work. and (c) appreciate the handling and safety of mercedes.

If I have the money NEW
If I don't USED hehe...
Definitely, I would buy another mercedes. I'm really a fan of the brand!
Love the sportiness yet the luxury and elegance is still there.

I'm new to Benz ownership. So far, absolutely would buy another one.

The interior quality is superior to prior (older) BMW's I've had. '97 528i and '01 740il - Door frame molding (528i), cup holders, a/c buttons, window regulators (528i), and seat controls (740il) were issues, that repeated due to poor design. I don't know if comparable benz in '97 or '01 had similar issues.
