Your location makes a lot of difference.
In the U.S., many more people has Benz even though they may be salaried employee and reaching down lower in the pay structure of the entire population. So the car is a everyday need.
In China majority of car owners are still in the upper strata of the pay scale or pay for as a company car.
So cost to fix a MB is generally not an issue in your case I would guess. Many techs in the US drive MB to work but I venture to guess not many techs in China do.
