my warranty insists that I get my oil change by an ASE certified mechanic, preferebly an MB mechanic. I got raked over the coals at the MB Stealership to the tune of $210 for an oil change and, get this, a fluid check?....what the hell?.. long story short, I immediately combed the city for a GOOD indepedent MB mechanic, that also works on other Euros like my wife's Volvo T5 Turbo. Got Benz oil changed for $85 bucks flat. perfect.
I also wrote a nasty-gram to the MB Stealership in my city and blasted his over-the-top prices for repairs and vowed on my grandmother's grave to never darken their doorstep with my business again.
the only thing I enjoyed about the MB Stealership was their uncanny ability to hire some of the hottest looking women as their staff of service writers, secretaries, cashiers, hostesses and other workers walking around in the tightest dresses with cleavage galore just jumping out.
Tit City is an understatement.
Having said that, All I can say is, welcome to the world of owning a benz. there are a lot of crooks out there waiting to tear up your benz and charge you thru the nose for repairs, but just be patient and persistent in finding a GOOD independent that has a heart for MB and not a passion for your wallet. it'll make owning a benz a LOT more affordable and fun to have.
