Climate Control

The fan speed dial on my '06 C280 does not seem to increase as you dial from 0-max. In both auto or a/c mode or in combination. Does the temp setting relate in any way to the fan speed? The air seems to be blowing out at a constant rate.
Thanks anyone.

I guess he first wanted to know if there is a fault in the first place. I'm not sure about a C-class but generally in auto-mode the fan speed is dependent on the temp setting and the internal and the external temperature, and if A/C is on or off. The point being that the auto setting tries to estimate how much air flow is needed and tries to keep it comfortable.

But you would always have a manual fan speed setting option, then it should follow your setting, irrespectively if A/C is set on or off.
