Smile I need advice about W202 AMG (what should it be C36 or 43?)

Hello everyone,
I need advice about W202 AMG... which one is faster and stronger? C43 or C36...
In zeperfs.com i checked statistics and 0-402m they say C36 is faster than the V8 ohc C43... Fiche technique Mercedes C 36 AMG vs Fiche technique Mercedes C 43 AMG

So please give me advice which one is faster and which costs less to be maintained?
So far maybe I am more interested in the C43 but i dont know wheter i want V8 OHC or V6 DOHC...
I am waiting for your help
Thanks in advance, Lubo

This would have more responses if it were posted in the W202 AMG section. Even then, an hour and twenty minutes . . . . . . .

Based on my 10 year old R&T notes, I can tell you that a U.S. spec 1995 C36 has 268 HP & 280 ft-lbs TQ in a 3620 lb car with a 4 speed automatic whose gear ratios are (1) 3.87, (2) 2.55, (3) 1.44, and (4) 1.00. The final drive is 2.87

You're comparing that to a U.S. spec C43 with 302HP & 302 ft-lbs TQ, in a 3560 lb car with a five speed automatic whose gear ratios are (1) 3.59, (2) 2.19, (3) 1.41, (4) 1.00, and 0.83. The final drive is 3.07

At any rate, one of these cars goes from zero to sixty in 6.1 seconds, takes 15.9 seconds to reach 100 MPH, and has a 152 MPH top speed. The other car goes from zero to sixty in 5.5 seconds, takes 14.6 seconds to reach 100 MPH, and has a 161 MPH top speed.

I can't read French, so I can't comment on your link. Lastly, the C36 is an inline six, not a vee.
