Engine plastic top cover removal

I have a 2005 SL500 that requires a valve cover gasket replacement. On this car (and i'm not sure how many other MB's) there is the big plastic top cover assembly with the MB name and star embossed that the plastic air ducts fit into that needs to be removed. I can't find any removal pins, crews, bolts etc to take this off. Anyone had any experience with this?? I live 3 hours from the nearest dealer so I am going to attempt this myself. Thanks in advance!

The 2005 SL500 and the CLK430 are both M113 engines, so they should not be very different. After removing the cold air intake snorkels, you grab both sides of the cover, and lift. The cover is the air cleaner assembly and it's held in place by clips that slip over rubber mounts. You can't see the clips with the air cleaner in place.
