Animals, tell your dad to buy a ticket, that's pretty much every summer weekend on Mulholland.
Now that we've officially hijacked MM's oil analysis thread (anyone remember that??) I'll say to Debbi, the bike in the picture is a Buell Ulysses, it's their answer to the "motard" genre of bikes that have been slowly emerging over the past decade or so. If you're not familiar with the make, Eric Buell decided he was going to build the kind of bikes HD wouldn't, so he buys their engines, hops them up and puts them in chassis of his own design and build. Quality is there and most Buell dealers are HD dealers. The things are hot rods, lots of innovative stuff, like the perimeter front brake rotor, under-bike muffler/catalyst, fuel in the frame, etc. When you drop the hammer, the 1200's hit hard (he does make bikes with smaller engines), much harder than HDs. Basically Eric does to the engines what most HD buyers eventually do, the difference is he sells the engine the way everyone wants it and --IMHO -- the way HD should sell it.
My bike is a Ducati ST2 with a few tasty bits. From a "one with the road" standpoint it is the best bike I've ever ridden.
Take care and enjoy the ride,
