C280 Problem, Please Help.

}= 1994 Mercedes Benz C280 ={

During Early Mornings, the First time Cranking the car the engine cranks up. But then the rpm's go down to the point that it wants to turn the car off. So i have to push the accelerator awhile (45 seconds) then let go to keep the rpm in idle at 10 - rpm's. [ Or whatever the 10 is not sure if it means 1000 or 10000. ]However, after i place the car in reverse or drive, the rpms go down to around 2 and it seems like it wants to cut off. What could be the problem.

I've looked into the engine, and noticed only 3 spark plugs with only 3 wires. My friend keeps telling me there must be 6 but there is noway i can see any but 3. is there 6? could it be hidden? anyone know? could i have a new motor?

- Changed the 3 spark plugs / wires
- New fuel pump
- New fuel pump relay
- Oil Change

How would i know if it is the mass air flow sensor? i know where the sensor is.

I need help and would like to learn about my own car. please help.

I don't know what is causing your idle problem, but I would guess it is electronic.

I can answer your spark plug question. You do have 6 spark plugs. The other three are underneath the small black boxes that were in between each spark plug. These are your ignition coils, and you have one coil that runs two plugs.

You can pull codes for your car by yourself with a hand-held OBDII diagnostic scanner. The scanner port is under your dashboard on the driver's side, about where your right knee will be. Flip the cover open and you will see a connector for the scan tool. You can pull codes and then search this website for the codes to see what they mean. That will tell you if it is your MAF or whatever. It is a worthwhile investment.

You will also have better luck if you post your question in the W202 forum. W202 is internal MB language for the C class cars from 1994 to 2000.
