If you need the car to get you a girl, you've got other things you need to sort out.

Go with the E350.
It's not that I need a car to get a girl, it's image means everything in southern California but I was thinking...E 350 is still a $50,000 car but i'm type of person that likes to have the best of all things...but then again I got to be smart as well...you know me...i'm into hip hop culture...bling bling...thas the type of thing I like but an E 350 is still nothing to be ashamed about...it's still a $50,000 ballin car.

You can get an E350 and debadge it. As in, take off the E350 badging and leave it as it is. It looks cleaner that way and you're not posing.

If you want the best -get Bugatti. Don't even bother with Mercedes
Big engine not only cost you more to buy, but also more to maintain as well much more at the gas pump. Good driver needs 100 HP to beat everybody on CA roads, so why would you need more than 250 hp the E350 offers?
Unless you have $250 a month burning hole in your pocket, use the money for house down-payment.

Cool OK, I will stick my neck out on the forrum

1.) I get incredible 'action' with a 320! They really do not know the difference. We ARE the elite of the automotive world by the fact we drive MB!
2.) Feeding a 550 is like having a kid in collage, more money, more money... your 3series could give up 38 mpg if you are stingy

OK forum, tear me up!!

Good point MRBSMITH. I have been asked several times if my MB was a new one. It never has been ( I have only owned 2), but I'll admit that I found that flattering. Non-MB folks do not have a clue as to the rather subtle body style changes and what year they might be. If they are shiny and look good, most think they just came off the showroom floor.

So sad someone your age is so concerned about IMAGE in So Cal! I was born and raised here and I don't care what anyone else thinks about how I dress or what I drive, they have to like me for the person I am. I live in one of the most expensive cities in California in a coastal community that was actually much more affordable when I first moved over here. My company is about 13 miles from my home and if I didn't buy my place when I did, today it would be out of reach for me. Buy a car because you researched it and because it fits YOUR needs not some dumb so-called-image! Some of our employees at work are your age and they are driving Honda's or Toyota's and they are not so focused on "Gee image is everything in So Cal". I drive my Benz because I grew up with family who bought them because of quality and owning for many years. When I got my first Benz the quality was still there. It dimished over the years but I remained loyal because I know the mileage you can get on the engines if well maintained from my past experience and the amount of driving I do. Sure other things go wrong but IMO the engines on MB's have always exceeded my needs. Get the car because you think of how it will benefit you not because image in materialistic California! Really, I am so over IMAGE. Who gives a crap what anyone thinks?? I am not going to like someone better because they have a BLING car. The person driving the Honda or Toyota could be a better person overall even if they don't have the BLING car. And by the way, I have dated men with cars costing over 100k and they turned out to be some of the most arrogant jerks with ego's as big as their wallets! NO offense to you successful men out there because I have also dated some really great one's as well. Difference, not friendly with flashy jerks, but still friends with the successful man who earned his nice car and is a decent human being. A car doesn't make who you are.

The image thing might have something to do with his being 23. I know at least with me, when I was in my 20s I cared what people thought of me; today, I couldn't care less. Another point is that the people who judge you solely based on your car, house, income (or what have you), are shallow jerks not worth impressing in the first place.
