Smile Leather seperation on CL55

since I found this site I find myself going through my cars with a fine tooth comb......again............okay so my front driverside armrest where you close the door has stiched leather it looks like........on the top surface the leather is seperating in what appears to be wrinkles and has gotten progressively worst in the last 6 months........MB of Buckhead says that it has not seperated enough to replace it under warranty............after reading this site I have found out that what the dealer says is certainly not the final word.........any advice is appreciated........thank yo in advance.......Michael

No why would you say that.........I simply posed a question about leather seperation on my CL55

If you disagreed with my statements about tele-aid.......well thats okay.......this is another thread and the tele-aid issue has been resolved.

For what its worth, MB had a problem in 2003 with the glue they were using on the door panels, armrests etc. I know there were problems with the SL's but don't know if they also involved the CL's, the rest of the line or the 2004's. In hot humid weather (Texas, Florida etc)the leather glue would delaminate and smell like (I am quoting other owner's) "cat piss". You might do a Google search. I found it when I Googled "Lemon Mercedes Benz". Good luck!
