We get Chargers here in NJ for highway state patrol too. Pretty intimidating opposed to those stupid Crown Vics they drive.

State police get Expeditions, Tahoes, Durangos, Crown Vics....Nothing exciting...at all.

That CLS Police Rocket is for real. In italy they drive Lambos Police Cars and in Spain Audi TT's. In China or Japan they are using Imprezas STI's and Evolution 9/10 as Police cars.

Is like they say "You can't run and you can't hide"

NYSP had Camaros on the Thruway for a few years. I don't think they actually patrolled with them, they just sped up and down the state and had fun.

They have those in WA now, and yes it is scary. These don't have any obvious markings or light bars, and they are usually gray with limo tint. Yikes. Sneaky sneaky

Good to know. I'm heading up there in 2 weeks.

I know OR used to have white Camaros. There's a couple Camaros in northern CA. They keep them all white with the small lights so they're harder to spot.

There is white Camaro operating in our county lately. With it's low profile -it parks where center divider has split for emergency passage and sets the radar being invisible behind the concrete.

Indiana used to use white Mustang GT's with tinted windows and Harley-Davidson bumper stickers. I saw a kid in a Camaro challenge one to a race on US30 once. He must have crapped his pants when the strobe lights came on.

They also use DOT trucks equipped with instant-on radar near worksites.

The worst are the planes, though. They have a couple of planes that routinely fly over rural Indiana counties and nail people from above with the measured marks on the highway and a stopwatch. No radar detector in the world will save you from them.

Where exactly is that at?

If you come through Sac, there's a few major traps. After the causeway when I-80 breaks off and it crosses the river (huge overpass after IKEA - CHP training facility), several traps East bound 80 from Roseville to Auburn, where business 80 and I-80 merge after the city (Madison Ave) is the CHP station. Also, Hwy 50 towards Tahoe (between Sunrise Blvd and Hazel).

Concord. On I-680 just few hundreds yards south from I-4 intersection. The center divider in this area is higher than in other places and hides the Camaro quite well.
I used to see white Camaro on I-5 like 100 miles south of Bay Area. Don't know if they got more of them, or the same one got relocated. The emergency lights on the roof are white and very low, so average driver will not notice them till they light up.
Still have never seen any of those in real pursuit. From what I heard -British give Porsche-equipped Polizai runs for they money.
