Question Convertible 4-door?

Hello fellow Mercedes enthusiasts

I have been wanting to get an old Mercedes convertible for quite a while now, and I was wondering if anyone could help me out with a few questions that have come up in my search...

1. What years/models did they make convertible 4-door? (That is what I am looking for) I read that the 93 convertible was the first in 20 years? I am interested in any year.

2. Did they make any of these in diesel?

That's it for now

Do you mean four-seater? They haven't made a four-DOOR convertible in decades, though one appears to be coming based on this year's Ocean Drive concept.

For four-seaters there was the E-Class you seem to refer to, and then the CLK in recent years.

The 1993-95 E320 convertible is probably the best bet for reliability, quality, understated good looks and possible collector status whilst being a good daily driver in the meantime.

Mercedes Benz didn't make any diesel convertibles. The idea of "diesel" and "convertible" don't go well together as a single passenger vehicle.
