It isn't the 211 he's selling, it's the ML he has listed as currently owning. He doesn't even list the 211 on his profile...still hasn't told us what got fried in 3 feet of water???

'87 300E: sold after 11years @ 230k & still on the road somewhere in rural Tennessee.

'94 C220 with 93k totalled 10/06 by hit & run broadsiding monster truck: not a scratch or bruise for me

Interesting what his views are about the W211. Yet he said he owns one.

MarcusF asked the question first: what was/were the part(s) that failed on your W211? In my humble opinion, anyone who blames ANY car for exhibiting problems after having been emerged in 3 feet of water needs to have his head examined.

He said they had 3' of rain, he didn't say the car was in the water.
Give the man a break. He had bad luck with his car and is pissed.
I like the "My neighbor has Lexus, that never broke down".
We own originally 8-years old Mercedes that never broke down, when our neighbor's Lexus is in the shop a lot.
Sometimes it is one-sided viewing, sometimes pure luck
Good luck on your next car mbeclasse

Perhaps it says it all when a person seems to make their own decisions based on what their neighbour owns. And also on a sample of one being used to compare. ha - one mercedes versus one lexus etc. nobody here studied statistics i guess.

thank god car companies don't do their market research on this basis - we'd all drive cars that handled like they could drive in 3' of water. i guess all our cars would then have pointy noses and be rear engined.

Andrew.

partly is my fault, I shouldn't have ignored it when it happend in my driveway..the same day .. I mean the car drives like a dream ,
the weather conditions was too risky to be out that day , should have
used better judgement.

...Good luck on your next car mbeclasse
You are correct Kajtek1, I just re-read the original post.

To mbeclasse, I am sorry about your expensive problem, and I'd also like to wish you good luck on whatever your next car is.
