Last weekend, Mercedes-Benz hosted an event for the Motor Press Guild at the Irvine Classic Center. As an MPG member, I was in attendance and can assure you that Mercedes-Benz already offers this service. Aside from selling fully restored vehicles, Mercedes-Benz will restore any customer’s classic vehicle, can provide genuine Mercedes-Benz classic parts, and perform appraisals.

That is nice, but I was thinking in terms of mass production (to keep the price low).

Take a look on Thunderbird. It seems to be a success.
Than I remember the rounded headlights have been the thing of 60's.
How many new cars have them now.

Actually not true, the Thunderbird is no longer in production.

The Ford Motor Company announced in March 2005 that the Thunderbird would again be discontinued in July of that year, with 9,548 sold for 2005.

I'd like them to do what BMW did with the Z8 - take the styling dues from their classics but make them classics in their own right - but sell them at an affordable price; like what Ford et al are doing with their updated pony cars (Mustang et al.)
