Hi - my 1st post here,
Another 1st time MB buyer post - thanks in advance for everyone's feedback,
I am looking to fulfill a longtime dream & buy a MB.
I want a safe, well-built car with some pizazz & I love MB.
The budget is EUR 2500-5000 for a sedan & EUR 5000-9000 for a Combi / Stationwagon
Obviously I would be looking for a well-looked after, dealer-serviced car.
I'm not a DIY mechanic so I want to avoid a 'labour of love' situation.
For sedans I'm looking around at 190 / 180c /200c from the 1990's.
For combi's - c class cars from the 90's
I prefer a sedan but a stationwagon may be more practical for work.
I am located in The Netherlands, Europe so there are a ton of 190's and C class cars around.
I like the idea of using bio-diesel but I notice most of the diesel cars have (what I think to be) outrageous KM's eg: 300-350k and up.
What do the users here think about about 2cnd hand MB diesel cars & the upper limit of mileage I should realistically be considering?
Also how about the 190's vs the 180c's in terms of ride, reliabilty, maintenance $ etc?
What I like with the 180c besides the look is the general presence of ABS and driver airbag, which only turn up in late model 190's as far as I can tell.
Thank you for the assistance!
